Don't Mess With Mr. In-Between

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.  Philippians 4:8

I've written about this site before.  I had completely forgotten about it until I received an email advertising it.  I don't know if this game is still free beyond the trial period.  I've signed up and I'll see what happens.

It's one of the brain development sites.  What is unusual, is that it encompasses emotions into it.

This particular game has two little cannons on either side of the screen and at differing intervals, bubbles pop out with words in them.  (I'm not sure if you can preview the game without signing up …. it is a free trial - no asking for credit card info up front.)

Some are negative emotion words

Some are positive.

The goal of the game is to pop the positive emotion words and let the negative emotions go down the drain.

Neat idea, huh?

Very concrete and symbolic at the same time.

I do find that when you play the game you end up truly focusing on the positives.

And isn't that what we need do in our lives.

It is SO easy to get caught up in negativity when so many bad things happen to our bodies and in our lives.  Negativity swirls around us.

And you have to truly focus to find the good stuff.

You have to take action to think on it.

I think negative is my natural state anymore.

It takes work to stay positive.

I'm not sure if this cute little game will work for you - or even if you want to sign up to play it.

But I know that playing it for just a few minutes reinforced what I knew all along.  It's my choice to chose the positive things in life.

And the negative things?

I need to simply let them go down the drain and out of my life.

Father God, Thank you so much that you have given us the power of choice.  Although we  may not be able to change our situations, we can always - with Your help - change how we view those situations.  Help us to focus on the good.  Help us to focus on You and all You are doing in our lives to conform us to the image of Your son.  Amen and amen.

Never thought I'd find this song sung by Paul McCartney! If you listen to the song, the blog title will make sense!  Honest!
