Encouraging Word for the Day:  Hope

I did a BibleGateway search for the word hope.  There were 180 verses that showed up.  Here are just a few.

There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18

You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.Psalm 119:114

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.Psalm 62:5

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 42:5

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:24

Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:5

But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish. Psalm 9:18

Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face. Job 13:15

For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?  But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.   Romans 8:24-25

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  Isaiah 40:31

Father God, Thank you that you have given us the ability to have hope in what we do not see.  Thank you for the multitude of promises that assure us that we will not hope in vain when we put our hope in You.  Amen and amen.
