My Own Desert Time

My beloved readers,

If you are a reader of this blog, you know that I have been struggling with lack of energy, mental and physical, and new problems that are cropping up healthwise.  The past few months have been so challenging and words for posts so hard to come by.

To be honest, I'm running on empty.  Running on "fumes" as my dad used to say.  I've prayed about letting go of "Encouraging Words" completely. I do not sense I am at that point yet.  I may be soon.

For now, we are going into revisits and guest posts - as I receive posts from others.  If that gets to me too much, or if my health goes to the place where I cannot post - you'll know as no more posts will be up or be set out.

I am, myself, coming apart at the seams and I am in the desert place.  I need to come apart and rest with my Lord.  

Tomorrow will start a round of revisits - going back to my early posts and working forward from there.  If you have been with me for a while (I started writing in 2008) you will no doubt see a change in format and style.

I pray that the words, while old, will minister to you.  I will, as the Spirit leads, write new ones when and as  and if I can.  

This is a difficult decision, as I know from your emails and comments that many of you have experienced God's touch through this blog.  (Something I am both amazed by and grateful for.)

If you've a mind to, I'd appreciate prayers for myself and for my family, as we have many struggles occurring under one roof.

I pray for each of you as daily as I can.  Some of you have become good friends, some of you have sent me prayer requests.  There are those of you I don't know personally, but I pray for each of you, as Paul prayed for the Ephesians:

 "For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.  I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
