The End or the Beginning?

"Young Plant" by amenic181.jpg

I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Psalm 94:18-19 NLT

Over and over it feels as if I come to the end of myself.

I’m pretty sure most of you have had similar feelings:

Those times when you are sure you can't take one more step or handle one thing more.

Yet, with Christ, we do.

For my fellow Hind's Feet fans - it can feel as is we have run up a against the mountain precipice that looks impossible to climb.

We see no way up that horrendous mountain that looms starkly in front of us.

Yet, there is always a way.

God provides

Yet, often what we can see in front of us is only a tentative next step.

Perhaps a prayer.

Perhaps listening or singing a song.

Maybe pouring our hearts out to God, because, yes, He wants to hear.

It might be reading Scripture, reciting a favorite verse.

Or, simply waiting quietly.

And once we take that first step - another appears.

We hear the whisper of God's voice.

A friend calls.

We find just the right verse.

So many possibilities.

Yet, each is a manifestation of God.

What I am learning right now?

When I am at the end of myself - I am at the beginning of God.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” Revelation 1:8
