Will I? …  Will You?

“Opened Doors To Heaven” by Sira Anamwong.jpg

Over and over … now.

From my readings of Max Lucado (Great Day Every Day) to todays Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, to today’s Oswald Chambers Utmost for His Highest, to the Scripture that resonates in my head.

Live now.

This moment.

I write these words in my journal,

“Seeking my face yesterday doesn’t feed you today.”

We can’t store it up.  We can’t borrow it from tomorrow.

It all comes down to now.

I continue to write.

“Live in this moment.  Now.  Seeking me.  You will find me.  I’ve promised it.”

You have, Lord, haven’t you?  Over and over.  You stand at the door and knock.

I may have answered yesterday.  The question for today is, will I open the door right now?  This moment?

Not later.  Not when the pain stops.  Not when I feel better - or simply feel like it.  Not when I have the time.

Will I push everything else aside and answer … now?

Will I?

Will you?

I pray the answer to both is a resounding

Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.  Revelation 3:20
